Is this a Scam?
No. This website provides a blog to keep individuals informed about the progress in building a donor list and recruiting candidates for our campaign to elect progressive candidates to Congress. The blog and website also provides tools for discussion and building a platform for candidates, as well as a tool for selecting candidates through polling that will take place on the website. In addition to these tools, the website will provide a link to endorsed candidates websites as well as links to websites for potential candidates who may recieve an endorsement following a successful polling period, or in the discretion of the website operator.
You are being asked to subscribe to an email newsletter that will provide updates about this campaign and its efforts on behalf of candidates. Subscribing to this newsletter also shows your commitment to make a $1 donation to each of 100 Congressional campaigns, and a $5 donation to each of 20 Senatorial campaigns, with a total commitment of $200 pledged to support progressive candidates for Congress. The goal of the site is to provide an organizing tool to create a donor and volunteer list for various Congressional campaigns that will occur throughout the country during the upcoming election. The newsletter subscriptions will also be used to help track the success of the campaign as regular updates about the growth of the subscriber list will be posted to provide encouragement for progressive candidates to run for office because of the support offered by our subscribers.
The ultimate goal of the website is to provide a counter-balance to the money donated by special interest groups and in particular corporate interests with money donated by ordinary American citizens to progressive candidates.
Do I have to contribute the full $200 or can I contribute a lesser amount? Should I still subscribe if I can not contribute the full amount?
Because the goal of the campaign is to build a list of at least 1 million donors who will provide money to each campaign directly, or more efficiently through our ActBlue fundraising page on July 4, 2008 the day of the $200 million money bomb, you should join the list if you can donate at least $1 to one of the Congressional races we hope to support, but if you can save just $1 per day for the next six months by not buying your morning cup of coffee, or saving the spare change you collect throughout the day you should be able to contribute the full amount; however, the choice to contribute to any individual campaign is yours and yours alone, so you may contribute as much or as little as you want to any of the campaigns, provided you contribute no more than the legal limit. Our goal is to provide a base level of support to each of our endorsed candidates, but the ultimate decision to donate to any campaign rests with the individual donor. We hope to recruit great candidates who will earn our subscriber's support, but the ultimate decision to donate remains with you. By subscribing to this email list you are simply showing your intention to support progressive candidates during the upcoming election. In addition to the fundraising efforts of this campaign our goal is to build a solid list of volunteers who will provide services to our endorsed candidates when necessary, such as letter writing campaigns, sign placement, and other vital campaign functions. You should subscribe to our newsletter simply to show your support for the goal of electing a large slate of progressive candidates to office.

How can I become an endorsed candidate?
Meet the constitutional requirements to hold office, be a progressive candidate, commit to our platform, and contact us at our email address to ask us for our support. You can find a more detailed explanation here.
A Clean Money Congress
Our goal is to raise $200 million dollars for 100 Progressive Democratic candidates for the US House of Representatives and 20 Progressive Democratic candidates for the US Senate on the Fourth of July.
How are we going to do it?
By building a list of a MILLION small contributors each pledging $200, $1 to each House candidate and $5 to each Senate candidate.
What do I need to do?
Join our email newsletter linked below or on the side to show your support for the effort, then tell your friends and family, add us as a Myspace or Facebook friend and put us in your Top Friends, watch and discuss our videos on YouTube, and subscribe to our YouTube channel, then check back here regularly for ideas about spreading the word to build the contributors list.
Why are we doing this?
Because money is the mother's milk of politics and without strong financial backing our candidates can't win, which means that corporate America wins, wouldn't you rather see our government represent "We the people of the United States" for a change?
